Announcing the HOW TO DANCE book tour!
In which I tell you where you can get your book signed in the month of February.
With December now upon us, I thought it’d be a good idea to get the old newsletter up and running again, particularly because I have some fun book news to share with you, my subscribers: I’ve got some book events scheduled! The first of these hit social media last Wednesday, but the next two haven’t yet, and won’t for a few days yet—I wanted to tell you all first, as a subscriber perk. Here’s what I’ve got going on so far:
Tuesday, February 6, 2024: How to Dance comes out in paperback, ebook, and audiobook.
That’s not an event or an update so much as a reminder—you’re welcome to preorder it here, or from whichever bookseller you prefer.
Saturday, February 10, 1 to 4 pm: How to Dance launch party at Combustion Brewery Pickerington.
This’ll be a blast! I’ll be talking with award-winning author Emery Lord about my book, I’ll be giving a reading, I’ll be signing your book, there’ll be snacks and drinks, and it won’t cost you a thing. If you’re interested, please click here for the details and fill out the Google form. It’ll let us get an accurate head count, but much more importantly, it’ll ensure that you have a book for me to sign. We won’t be selling them at the party, but if you preorder one by following the instructions on the form, you can pick it up at the party, get it signed, and support my favorite local indie bookseller in the process!
Also, you can get Emery’s latest novel, All That’s Left to Say, right here! It’s quite good.
Thursday, February 15, 7:00 pm: Stepping into Love One Tango at a Time: Jason Dutton in Conversation with Jen Devon
Cool title, huh? Gramercy Books, my aforementioned favorite local indie bookstore, is hosting an event for me. Jen and I will talk about my book, I’m planning on reading some of it, I’ll answer questions, and I’ll definitely be signing copies. This is a ticketed event with limited space, so if you want to join me at my favorite bookstore, you’ll want to click here right now.
You can get Jen’s book, Bend Toward the Sun, right here, and then you can thank for leading you to yet another talented author!
Thursday, February 22, 4:30 pm: Reading in Ashland University’s Ronk Lecture Hall
I attended AU for both my BA and my MFA, and it was really flattering to be invited back to campus for a reading. Again, this’ll include a Q&A and signing—really, even if it didn’t, you know I’d answer your questions and sign your book, especially if you took the time to come see me at my alma mater. While you’re in town, I recommend visiting Grandpa’s Cheesebarn!
It’s hard to believe we’re just a little over two months away from the release of How to Dance—and it’s actually a little harder for me to believe people want me to come talk about it with them! I’ll be sure to share any more details or new events here as they develop, and if you want me to be part of an event, email me at authorjasonbdutton@gmail.com. Seriously, I’d love to chat about visiting your book club or your classroom.
Come join me in February, won’t you? I love talking about my book, and I’ll love talking about it with you even more.
SO EXCITED!!!
